Richard J. Gherardi, Sand Dollar Development
Richard J. Gherardi is the principal owner and president of Sand Dollar Development Corp. Working in both the private and public sector, he is involved in residential and commercial building projects, concrete construction and land development. Gherardi has produced many high-end, custom-designed homes. An authority on all aspects of home building, his comments and projects have appeared in The New York Times, Newsday and Builder magazine. Ghirardi was named Builder of the Year in 2000 by the Long Island Builders Institute and has been listed in America's Registry of Outstanding Professionals since 2003. He earned a bachelor's degree in business and marketing from St. John's University in Queens and resides in East Hampton with his wife, Debra, and one son.
