Brooke I. Ackerman, Brooke I. Ackerman Interiors, LLC
Brooke I. Ackerman's style is influenced by her life growing up in East Hampton and her international travels as a teenager and college student. Ackerman spent her summers during boarding school and college working at the Tony Polo/Ralph Lauren Retail store in East Hampton. Upon graduation from Syracuse University in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science in Retail/Marketing, Ackerman participated in the Bloomingdales Retail Training Program. Within six months, she was hired by Polo Ralph Lauren as assistant buyer of Men's and Women's Accessories for both the East Hampton and New York Stores. She later was appointed to the Ralph Lauren Home Collection Division as an assistant in Home Furnishings, Towel, and Sheet production department.
Ackerman joined acclaimed Peter Marino Architect in 1997 as a Junior Designer, and in 2000 she became a senior designer. During her nine years with Peter Marino, her projects have included homes in Palm Beach, Dallas and East Hampton. Ackerman currently lives in Manhattan with her husband and daughter Lilly.
