THE 2007 HC&G IDEA HOUSE
Sheila Delaney, SKD Interior Design
Sheila Delaney, a native of New York, grew up in Scarsdale. She graduated from the University of Colorado in Boulder in 1988, where she attended her junior year abroad at the University of London. She went to New York Law School and practiced law for seven years before deciding to pursue her life-long passion for interior design. She is a graduate of the New York School of Interior Design. Prior to starting her own company, SKD Interior Design, in the fall of 2005, Sheila worked for two leading New York design firms: McMillen Inc. and Sandra Nunnerley, Inc., where some of her work was published in Architectural Digest.
SKD Interior Design is a full-service firm based in New York and East Hampton. Sheila says her work emphasizes the importance of integrating both architecture and interiors to create seamless designs that blend classical architectural elements with antique and contemporary furnishings. Her design projects range from high-end Manhattan apartments to estate homes and cottages in East Hampton, Greenwich, CT, Florida and Colorado. She maintains residences in both Manhattan and the Hamptons.
