EDITOR'S LETTER

Time to Celebrate

After attending these activities, it's our homes we return to, and it's the home that we celebrate in every issue. Whether historic, renovated or new, homes become emblematic of their occupants.

HC&G's 2006 Idea House is a good example of how we live today. In this issue's Project column, we show you how Roxine Brown is molding the landscape for the house into something extraordinary. Throughout the summer we'll be profiling all of our Idea House designers, but allow me to take a moment to present the official talent roster: Brian Brady, Karen Comerford & Michael Hennessy, Sheila Delaney, Jamie Drake, Erica-Lynn Huberty, Sarah Kaplan & Corey Tippin, Libby Langdon, Jeff Lincoln, Francesca Stratton & Emily Allen, Kate Stella, Susan Hable Smith & Katharine Hable Sweeney, Paul Siskin, Betty Wasserman, Robert Bakes, Kyle Timothy Blood, Christine Phillips, Peggy Fruin & Susanne Kelley and, as already mentioned, Roxine Brown.

With a line-up like that, we think you'll find lots of great ideas when the 2006 Idea House opens on August 4. Visitors will be welcome through Labor Day.
