All the rooms benefited from layers of white paint—the better to display artwork on—to establish a more "beachy" contemporary environment. Crisp white slipcovers, striped rugs, bold orange accessories and, of course, artwork infuse the home with unique style and personality. "We didn't want to hire an interior designer who does things the way they want to do it," says Stephan. "Our house is where we come together as a family. It's our own style—cozy and modern."
