HC&G BEST OF SEASON

Curtain Up!

41 NEW WAYS TO EAT, DRINK, SHOP AND LIVE IN THE EAST END

[Coach Bag]

STARTING FRESH | Coach reopens its seasonal flagship shop (50 Newtown Ln., East Hampton, 631-324-0394, coach.com) after renovations and plenty of white paint, which helps underscores the vibrancy of its summer collection, Poppy.

AL FRESCO | Take it outside! Winery Corey Creek (45470 Main Rd., Southold, 631-765-4168) has free live music every Saturday 2–6pm in July and August, while Bedell Cellars (36225 Main Rd., Cutchogue, 631-734-7537, bedellcellars.com) does the same Sunday 1–5pm. Sunday nights, Solé East in Montauk (90 Second House Rd., 631-668-2105, soleeast.com) will screen films outdoors and offer Mediterranean-flecked picnic dinners from its restaurant, Backyard (left). Big news for gays and those who love them is the return of the “tea dance.” The traditional daytime, cocktail-fueled romp will be staged each weekend on the new outdoor patio at The Lodge (31 Race Ln., East Hampton, 631-324-5022). The expanded garden space was landscaped by Harmonia and features a huge bar—and a grill.

Boltax Gallery (boltaxgallery.com) artists will host intimate Friday-night salons (think live performance and costumes aplenty) as a warm-up to the standard Saturday-evening openings.

PICNIC PERFECT | Attention locavores: Citarella (2209 Montauk Hwy, 631-537-5990, citarella.com) opened at the former Bridgehampton Country Market while food expert Eli Zabar at Amagansett Farmer’s Market (367 Main St., 631-267-3894) is ready for the season, selling its famous breads and all-local produce from the Peconic Bay area.

AMERICAN GIRL | The new Michael Kors (48 Main St., East Hampton, 631-329-0149, michaelkors.com), the brand’s first Hamptons boutique, carries apparel, handbags, shoes, timepieces (Chrono watch, right) and more from several of the designer’s lines.

PINK AND GREEN | In addition to bold, preppy staples, the new Tommy Hilfiger (69 Main St., 631-324-0540, tommy.com) in East Hampton is selling vintage apparel for men and women.
